A product of my Diploma work has to be a part of future Virtual University at our university (our faculty). The Virtual University will be an internet form of a distant education - undergraduate study at a bachelor stage. An aim of my Diploma work is to create good teaching (educational) text for school subject Neural networks with didactic analysis.

The text of my Diploma work describes a target group of people, an educational aim, a difficulty, a rating (grading), methods, means, a subject structure, a software development (creating of files) and a didactic analysis of created text, examles, tasks. An experience with some existing systems of distant education and some my practise are added.

I based my work (the subject text) on lectures and seminars of subjects Neural networks and Computational learning, educated at our faculty in a daily form of undergraduate study. I exploit various sources - a literature, an internet, a software for simulations. The text is enriched of my own conception, commentary, pictures.

The neural network can be imagined as a computational model, in which interesting programming algorithms, methods, styles are used. The neural network can be used as an optimizational method. It is discused an only neuron, a principle of an operation of the neural network as well as picked network types and partly also genetic, evolution algorithms. The student is familiarized with principles of an operation of live biological neural networks, a basis of artificial intelligence. I do not forget to include philosophic and ethical view on a development of artificial systems.

A product of my Diploma work is a set of HTML (XML) files - an educational text for subject Neural networks. A structured design and development is very important because of joining my module (subject) in the future Virtual University system and integrating numerous modules (subjects) of an electronic form into a compact study. This concerns folowing items:
- an information about the subject (title, short summary, aims, number of lessons, necessary time, a sample demo lesson, study conditions)
- an information about module operation (for student, for teacher, for administrator)
- a detailed summary and splitting the subject into lessons
- lessons (including introductory and summarization lessons)
- solved examples
- unsolved tasks
- an autotest (quiz)
- tests composed of tasks
- a collection of examples and a collection of tasks
- a register (index) of key words
An environment of the module has a consistent and modifyable graphic design, control elements. The educational text is rich hypertext - used are file formats as TXT, HTML (XML), GIF, JPEG, PNG, Java script and also PHP will be used in the future. The hypertext contains a number of links.
